Example held its first ever 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, March 17. It was not a coincidence that Example's March activity was held on St. Patrick's Day. What a perfect day to remind young men and women that plenty of fun can be had without drugs and alcohol.There were twenty-two boys' teams and thirteen girls' teams competing in the tournament with over 120 students showing up to play or just have fun watching.
Jacob Schwark and Megan Bisson started off the event explaining that, despite all the pressures and temptations the devil throws their way, being a redeemed child of God gives them strength to avoid drugs and alcohol.
Mr. Hardy followed up with some great insights about the purpose of Example and how Christ has freed us from the chains of sins and empowers us to live in the certainty of forgiveness and righteousness.
The Pink Ladies defeated Team DOS for the girls' championship.
The Sentimental Gentlemen defeated School Bus (faculty team) for the boys' championship.
